‘Ondo Schools To Remain Shut Until Further Notice’

The Chairman of the state interministerial committee on COVID-19 , Professor Adesegun Fatusi who announced this said the directive was to strengthen public safety , protect lives of residents and further mitigate the spread of Coronavirus.

Professor Fatusi maintained that goverment did not permit the reopening of primary , secondary , tertiary institutions both public and private except for SS 3 and JSS 3 classes.

He pleaded for the understanding and support of all stakeholders as government’s efforts were in the best interest of the people.

The don then warned against illegal act of reopening schools contrary to the directive and encouraged parents to ensure their children and wards to continue to stay at home.
