A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nuel Elehinle ,thursday said despite the positions being canvassed by Eyitayo Jegede of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Zenith Labour Party’s candidate,Agboola Ajayi ahead of the October 10th governorship election, the legacies of the APC and the transformation agenda of Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu would guarantee victory for the party in the election.
Elehinle who is a leader of the APC in Owo Local Government Area Of Ondo State stated this while fielding questions from newsmen in Akure, the state capital where he said he was confident that the APC would win the eleven wards in his locality.
He decried the style of campaign adopted by opposition parties in the state, saying the governor would not be deterred by their antics .
Elehinle noted that the opposition could not match the APC while attributing the success of the party to the collective support of the people.
According to him, ” Akeredolu is a grass root politician who is at home with both the young and old, men and women across the three Senatorial districts of the state.
He called on people to vote for the All Progressives Congress candidate, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, in order to move the state forward.
“Ondo people have seen the light. They cannot go back to the dark era which the opposition represents. They will consolidate the present gain and raise it to a higher level by voting for Governor Akeredolu, who is not and will never be part of the unproductive politicians,” he said.
Speaking on the chances of the party, Elehinle boasted that the opposition will witness a political tsunami in couple of days as more aggrieved members of the APC have become ambassadors through the efforts of his group, Ondo Re-elect Aketi Movement (O-RAM).
He concluded by urging the leaders to double their efforts for the campaign exercise that has already kicked off to guarantee victory at the polls in October.
