Omowunmi Sipasi Becomes First Female Local Government Chairman In Ese-Odo.

The ODIEC(Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission) has declared Honourable Omowunmi Sipasi – Aluko under the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the chairman – Elect having been victorious in the yesterday’s Ondo State Local Government election comprising the chairmen and Councillors.

Sipasi who won with a landslide victory over her opponent with a vote count of 29350 against SDP who has 74 votes, has emerged as the first woman chairman in the history of Ese Odo Local Government Politics.

APC faithful’s in the state and beyond could not hide their enthused emotions as they shower congratulatory messages to the unusual winner and other chairman and Councilors elect in the poll via their social media handles.

It should be recalled that as the prior aspirant exercised her franchise in her Unity 004 ward Igbobini Ese Odo Local Government, Ondo State, she expressed her joy being the electorate and the candidate being voted for, promising to take the local government to a new face of development projects.

The Gubernatorial election of the state will take place on the 10th of October as the Incumbent Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressive Congress APC and candidate of the  People’s Democratic Part PDP, Ejitayo Jegede will slug it out with 15 others.
