The National Youth Service Corps says it is interfacing with the Presidential Task Force, for safe reopening of orientation camps across the Country.
The Director General of NYSC, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim stated this during the NYSC Freedom of Information Act, FOIA Desk Officers’ Workshop in Abuja.
He said activities of the NYSC Orientation camps across the Country were closed six months ago due to the outbreak of COVID-19 and prospective Corps members have been canvassing for the reopening of camps.
General Shuaibu, represented by the Director, Human Resource Management, Hajiya Habiba Bappah, emphasized that activities of the scheme were regularly publicized and urged FOIA desk officers of NYSC to sustain their efforts for efficient service delivery.
A representative of the EFCC Academy, Mr. Abiodun Adebanjo emphasized the need for openness between Management and junior staff, as well as between the NYSC and the public.
The Director Press and Public Affairs, Mrs. Adenike Adeyemi gave an assurance that NYSC would continue to adhere to the provisions of the freedom of information act in its operations.
