NURTW Boss Backs Oloyede For Council Chairmanship Seat

The Lagos State Chairman of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Alhaji Musiliu Akinsanya popularly known as MC Oluomo has declared his support for Otunba Kehinde Almaroof Oloyede,for the position of Chairman seat in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government under the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) next year.

Akinsanya, who is also an APC chieftain in Oshodi, stated this during the commissioning of the new Solar powered Borehole Water Project at Salami Street, Afariogun Ward,Oshodi, Lagos.

Oloyede is one of the aspirants contesting for the position of Chairman seat in Oshodi-Isolo Local Government under the platform of APC.

The tenure of council chairmen in Lagos State would end next year July and the Lagos State Independent Electoral Commission (LASIEC) is expected to conduct local government elections to replace them before the time.

Akinsanya in a chat with Journalists said Oloyede is a son of the soil who is ready to serve his people. He described him as an humbled person and ready to listen to the people’s grievance.

According to him, the aspirant is ready to do everything possible to rehabilitate roads, create employment opportunities for the residents and empower women, youths and artisans so as to reduce the unemployment rate in the council area.

He said Oloyede is accessible and approachable if he emerges as chairman of the council. He further said Oloyede will operate an open door policy and programmes that would improve the living conditions of the residents if he eventually becomes council boss.

He therefore canvassed support for Oloyede to emerge the flag bearer of APC during the party’s primary in the next local government elections.
