A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has adjourned till 1st of February to hear the application for the bail of a former Chairman of the Pension Reform Task Team, Mr Abdulrasheed Maina.

Adjourning the matter, the presiding judge, Justice Okon Abang, said it was not convenient for the court to hear the bail application today.

Speaking to journalists after the adjournment, the counsel to Mr Maina, Mr Anayo Adibe, said the bail they were asking for was to enable Mr Maina to attend to his health challenges.

Mr Abdulrasheed Maina is being prosecuted by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, on a 12-count- charge bordering on money laundering, to the tune of two billion naira.
