
The former Lagos State Chairman of ruling party, All Progressives Congress APC, Chief Henry Ajomale and His Royal majesty, Osolo of Isololand, Oba Kabiru Kolawole Agbabiaka were honoured recently by the leadership of Igbo speaking community in Lagos led by it’s President General,Chief Sunday Udeh.
Chief Ajomale was honoured with the Pan-Nigerian personality award, while the traditional ruler in Isolo, Oba Agbabiaka was also conferred with the Champion of Peace award at his residence in Okota.
The awards bestowed on the duo was as a result of being receptive towards the igbos in the community and for giving the igbos opportunity to participate in politics and occupy political offices in the state.
Speaking with our correspondent after the award bestowed on the awardees,Udeh said the awards were to further appreciate the community leaders for their magnanimity towards the igbos in the community.
“We are here to say a big thank to Chief Ajomale and Oba Agbabiaka for building the ethnic bridge of peace and harmony.We are proud of you and hold you in high esteem.
The Igbo people in Isolo and Lagos at large would continue to identify with the ruling party and ready to work for the party in the forthcoming local government election and subsequent elections in Lagos,” he said.
