Forget Edo, Ondo Elections-APC Chieftain Tells PDP Governorship Candidates

All Progressive Party (APC) chieftain in Lagos, Honourable Taiwo Dada, has boasted that his political party would clinch the forthcoming Edo and Ondo State governorship elections scheduled for September and November respectively.

Taiwo, whon is a chairman House Committee on Works, Housing Infrastructure and Information in Egbe-Idimu Local Council, told our correspondent in an interview that he is not worried about the chances of his party in Edo State governorship election.

He noted that his party is being accepted by the majority of Edo people.

“I am not bothered about Edo governorship election because our party is well known in the state and we have the likes of former APC National chairman, John Oyegun and immediate former party chairman,  Comrade Adams Oshiomohle who have rallied round behind Pastor Osagie-Ize-Iyamu, the APC candidate to ensure that the party win the governorship elections in Edo State,” he said.

Taiwo popularly known as Enibegiloju, said he is disappointed with the attitude and character of sitting Governor, Godwin Obaseki when he was in APC.

.He described the governor as an ingrate and a betrayer who always consider himself first at the detriment of other party members.

“Obaseki’characater shows that he is not a loyal person. He betrayed his predecessor which is against the laid down rules of the ruling party. I don’t see Obaseki and his PDP winning the forthcoming governorship elections because APC is ready to give opposition party a run for their money,” he said.

The APC chieftain advised APC members in Edo State to shun political violence and work for the party’s standard bearer,Pastor Ize-Iyamu to win the governorship election scheduled for September 19.

Commenting on Ondo State governorship election, Taiwo boasted that his party’s chances are brighter in the Southwest state.

He said that the current Governor, Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu has done well in his last four years and there is need for him to complete his good work he had started four years ago. “I don’t think we have problem in Ondo State even his deputy Governor ,Ajayi Agboola cannot stop his boss ambition
