The Federal Government has commenced emergency and major repairs of all federal roads in Osun State.
Conducting newsmen round the roads, Minister of Works, Mr Babatunde Fashola said the repairs would cost over 113 billion naira.
Represented by the Federal Controller of Works for Osun, Mr Hezekiah Kehinde, the Minister said the projects covered all the senatorial districts of the state.
Mr Fashola explained that major work was also going on in other roads such as Ila, Ekanmeje Kwara boarder, Ilesa, Ife Ibadan highway and Gbongan Iwo road among others, and stressed that the Federal government had awarded contracts for the designs of new roads in the state.
He pointed out that massive construction work going on in the state had provided over 10,000 direct and 30,000 indirect jobs for the people, including sales of cement, iron and other materials.
