Following the investigation into the operations behind the famous Ellen DeGeneres show on accounts of alleged racism in the work place, Ellen DeGeneres has announced that she might be shutting the whole thing down.
The show which now has an amazing 17years run might be coming to an unexpected end after Ellen thinks that the only way to redeem her reputation and integrity will be to end the show.
Ellen DeGeneres kicked off what is now a wildly popular talk show in September 2003 after she was, in her own words, “at rock bottom and out of money, with no work in sight.”
In a memo to her staff on Thursday, DeGeneres addressed the allegations with the following note, which read, in part:
“As we’ve grown exponentially, I’ve not been able to stay on top of everything and relied on others to do their jobs as they knew I’d want them done. Clearly some didn’t,” she wrote, per The Hollywood Reporter. “That will now change and I’m committed to ensuring this does not happen again.”
Ellen as well has Warner Bros have not given any official statements regarding whom among the staffs is to blame for the allegations, but sources believe that the executive producer Ed Glavin will most likely lose his job for the accusations, and that everything should return to normal afterwards.
