Abiodun scored seven goals and left remaining two goals for her teammates to wallop Flourish FA 9-0 in the last group of the ongoing Ekofootball female league taking place at Agege Stadium, Lagos.
The light skinned striker in a chat with our correspondent said this is her first time she scored seven goals against a club in her football career saying that her fans should expect more from her in subsequent matches.
“ It is amazing to score seven goals in a match. I used to score three or four goals in a match in the past. Scoring seven goals aginst Flourish FA in Eko football league is a clear indication that Young Talent 99 Football Academy are scoring team and ready for any opponent in the round of 16,”she said.
Abiodun disclosed that she did not score a single goal in her last two matches saying that scoring seven goals against Flourish FA has given her confidence to do more in her subsequent matches.
She however, thanked her teammates and coaching crew for their support given to her when she was struggling to find the back of the net in their last two matches.
“ I dedicate my goals to my friend, Destiny Olawuni who has injury presently. I would not forget my other colleagues and coaching crew in the team who are always there for me.I say a big thanks to them and I promise them more goals in subsequent matches, “said Abiodun who wants to start her professional career in Europe.
In his own comment, Flourish FA Coach, Niniola Kolawole said the scandalous defeat was a wake up call noting that he would correct some mistakes that his players committed in the training. He said lack of his key players in the team affected the team performance and wished his opponents best of luck in their remaining matches.
Young Talent 99 Football Academy have nine points with 15 goals without conceding a single goal in the group matches. They have booked a place in the round of 16.
