The management and staff of Ekiti United Football club have joined the football stakeholders and administrators in mourning the untimely death of the head of ICT Unit of the Nigeria Football Federation-NFF, Mr Tolu Abe.
Ekiti United described the demise as an irreparable loss to Ekiti state and Nigeria especially the football family.
Secretary of Ekiti United FC, Ayodeji Olowolafe in a statement said the late ICT technocrat was a huge asset whose contributions towards promoting the name of Ekiti state in his area of specialization could not be over-emphasized.
The team prayed for the repose of the late Tolu Abe and prayed God to grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss.
Mr Tolu Abe who died on Saturday hailed from Ikole-Ekiti.
He was survived by a wife, children and mother.
He died at the age of 48 at the National Hospital, Abuja as a result of complications that arose after a surgery.
The Nigeria Football Federation- NFF had described him as a highly dedicated, diligent, energetic, proficient and goal-driven officer.
NFF General Secretary, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, said the late Tolulope Abe exemplified hard work and industry, and was loved by all for his sapience, dynamism, sense of duty, productivity and humility.
