Akeredolu: Why We Are Conducting Ondo State LG Polls Today

Here is an address by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu for today’s local government election;

My dear people of Ondo State, I know you are aware that the local government election fixed for Saturday, August 22, 2020 by the Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission (ODIEC) holds today. This is a very important exercise where the representatives of the people at the grassroot level are elected.

Our administration has made significant strides in the areas of road construction, provision of potable water, education through massive renovation and reconstruction of our public schools, health, industrialization which is evident at the Ondo-Linyi industrial hub, fiscal stability and workers welfare among several other critical interventions.

We passionately anticipate the consolidation of these feats and resulting sustainability in development through a robust relationship and understanding of local government leaders that share the vision and aspiration of our administration.

We urge you to go out and cast your vote for the APC. This is a critical step towards deepening our democratic values and gains.
Vote APC, Vote for development and progress.

Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN.
