Agbale Unity Cup Draws ceremony Holds Oct 1 In Osun

Organisers of the 14th edition of Unique Egalitarian Soccer Championship known as Southwest World Cup tagged Agbale Unity Cup would hold its draw ceremony on October 1, 2020 at Ede North Local Government Council at 10:00am , Osun State.

The competition which is scheduled to commence October 3, 2020 at Agboran School of Science football pitch,Ede is put together by Mr Law 18 Soccer Network under the leadership of Akin Oyedunmola.

The annual tourney is organized to honour His Royal Majesty, Oba Dr Munirudeen Adesola Lawal, Laminisa 1, Timi Of Ede Land.

Commenting on the preparation for the tournament, Oyedunmola told Journalists in Ede that arrangements have been put in place to organize a spectacular draws ceremony noted that only the clubs that meet the requirement would be allowed to take part in the tourney endorsed by Osun State Football Association,OSFA

 “The people of Ede and its environs are looking forward to this tournament because it is a competition that attracts teams from Southwest region. Immediately government lifts ban on football any moment from now, clubs from southwest would arrive for the draws ceremony,” he said.

Among the teams that have confirmed their readiness are 3FC Ifon-Osun,( Osun State) Akoment FC, Ede, (Osun State,) SSl FC, Mina, (Niger State) Okin FC, Ofa, (Kwara State) MS Success FC, Mushin,( Lagos State),Mighty Sparrow FC, Ore, Ondo State)

Oyedunmola revealed that they still need more teams from other part of Southwest and beyond to show interest saying that all entries would be closed next Monday.

“We still need some teams especially from Lagos and other part of the country to show interest in our competition. The competition would help many teams to test their players ahead of  future football competition. Secondly it would also help some club owners to scout for good players to fortify their team. I wish all the teams that are coming for the competition all the best,” he said.
