Kedge Sports Football Club early today have caused a biggest upset in the ongoing week six of Alimosho Football Coaches Council League after hammering Future Stars 7-0 in a match played at Asiribo playground,Badagry Expressway, Lagos.
Kedge Sports who played at home saw Nmandi Stephen scored hat trick, while Sesan Folley scored brace as Suru Micheal and Ogene Joseph scored one goal each to complete the onslaught in the encounter watched by appreciable crowd.
This is the second time Kedge Sports would record biggest upset as they humbled Flying Wings the same score in week one of the league. Kedge Sports are poised for the league title considering the fact that they have more goals and points and they are on the verge of champions if they continue in this direction.
Chairman of Kedge Sports Football Club who doubles as coach, Noah Omotunde said his players played to instruction which gave them victory over their opponents.
He said both teams played good football but noted that they were technically and tactically better than the visiting team.
“I am happy that we have caused upset in Alimosho league. Future Stars are a good side with young players. Why we defeated our opponents was because we took our chances and I believe that we can do better in our subsequent matches. I congratulate my players for this victory and I am looking forward to win our next home game against Peculiar FC,” he said,
In other match played today, IGU suffered 1-2 home defeat against IBMA at Igando football pitch.
Action continues tomorrow as Newton FC face Sammy FA at Ejigbo football pitch, while Tailgate FC would welcome Samjason FC at Ejigbo playground at 4:30pm.
On Friday, Peculiar FC confront Flying Wings at Ejigbo playground, while NISSI FC tackle Salamson FC the same venue.
